Self care isn’t selfish nor shallow and is a very important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Take A Shower
Whilst you may shower each day, sometimes just taking time out from your day to have a long and relaxing shower will make all the difference to how you feel. One of the easiest and most simple self care ideas out there, a shower will transform your day if you’re in a bit of a slump and make you feel more cleaned up. Either take one first thing in the morning before you start your day or before you head to bed with a calming scented shower gel to relax and unwind before you go to bed.
Take Care Of Your Skin
If you suffer from problem skin or breakouts, then your skin may be the route of some of your daily stress. Take time each day to really care for your skin and not just by using a face wipe and cleansing every now and then. Before you go to bed, take off your makeup and use a cleanser to get rid of any leftover residue. Then, apply a toner and any liquid exfoliants or acids/serums that you use for your skin and finish with a good quality moisturiser. Your skin will thank you for it and it helps you to switch off before you get into bed. It doesn’t need to take long and is a really simple self care idea.

Depending on your mood, you might find yourself leaning towards songs and music which fit. Instead of playing the same playlist or songs all the time, why not try out a new podcast? Podcasts are a great way to switch off and make you feel like you are talking with the people featured in the podcast, sparking internal and external conversation and questions. Whenever you need a little boost or just to switch off from whatever you have been doing, put on a podcast. Listening to music or something similar you enjoy is one of the most recommended simple self care ideas!
