How To Throw An Amazing Halloween Ball At Home
Posted on October 28 2019
Halloween is just around the corner and if you’ve decided to host a Halloween ball at home this year, then you may already be surprised at just how much needs doing in order to make it amazing. It’s difficult to find the right balance of spooky to suit all of your guests whilst also making sure everyone is having fun.
Whether you’re hosting an adults-only party or a family fun evening, your Halloween ball has so much potential to be everything you’ve imagined, but all of us need a little help every now and then. From what snacks to serve to surprises hidden around every corner, here are some tips for how you can throw an amazing Halloween ball at home.
Brew Some Spooky Punch
No matter who you’ve invited to your Halloween ball, everyone will love a glass or two of spooky punch during the evening! This is the perfect thing to add to your party as it’s completely customisable and is easy to make into something unique and have fun at the same time.
The most important thing you need for this is a punch bowl, then the fun is all yours. You could create a brightly coloured brew with the addition of a few jelly sweets, or fill a rubber glove with water - enough to make it look like a hand - and freeze it. Once completely frozen, add to your punch bowl to make it look like a hand is poking out!
Create An Insta-Perfect Backdrop
Let’s face it, when we’re looking our spooky-best and have taken hours perfecting our costumes, we want to have some photos as lasting memories! If you create an Insta-perfect backdrop, or even corner, for your Halloween ball, it’s almost guaranteed that people will use it.
All you need is a piece of fabric big enough to cover a large portion of a wall, but make sure it is Halloween-appropriate fabric to add the perfect touch. If you’re feeling extra Halloween-y, then why not use our Halloween glitter to transform your guest’s costumes for those Insta-worthy selfies?
Bake Some Haunted Treats
Halloween baking can be a complete nightmare - no pun intended - but there are some easy bakes you can make to wow at your Halloween ball. For simple ghost cupcakes, simply add some ready-made marshmallow fluff into a piping bag (or make your own by melting some large marshmallows in the microwave) and swirl on top, then add some icing to make ghost faces.
For a healthier treat, you could make some “pumpkin” oranges by peeling small oranges or tangerines - making sure to leave them whole and adding a small stalk of celery sticking out from the middle.
